Wow…so this is the longest I’ve gone without blogging! I lost my motivation and so many changes happened since my last update post. So here are some highlights!
In May Kyle graduated from college and we took off on an adventure exploring the United Kingdom and Paris with our good friends stationed out there.
We found out while staying in England that we are expecting a baby! A few months later we announced and at about 18 weeks we found out we’re having a boy, his name will be Eric Thomas, named after Kyle’s dad (Eric) and uncle (Tom).
In July I went to Las Vegas with my older sister to fulfill a “bucket list” item – I saw Mariah Carey perform live in concert! Her voice is magical and sounds even better in person. She can indeed still sing and hit ALL her famous notes.
For Halloween I dressed my bump as a pumpkin and Kyle dressed as a “pumpkin farmer.” These were easy and inexpensive to put together. I bought an orange t-shirt and glittery black felt from the craft store. Kyle drew out the jack-o-lantern pattern free hand, cut it out and glued it on the t-shirt with hot glue. He’s so crafty! For his costume he simply purchased a John Deere trucker hat, tucked a shirt into his jeans and put on his work boots. Of course our dog had to match with her own little pumpkin outfit.
Now here we are in December, and I am working full-time at an old job – new upgraded title (Social Media Manager) and better pay were incentives for me to come back along with the familiarity and benefits. I’m happy to be back in the toy business and I have fun with it and keep a positive mindset. Kyle landed a job as an Electrical Engineer near our hometown so that worked out perfectly!
I’m also excited and not-so-patiently waiting for my younger sister to have her baby boy – due any day now! I’m happy to be pregnant at the same time as my sister and our boys are going to get to grow up together and be close. It’s a dream come true!
Thoughts about the future of this blog… Now that I’m entering a new stage of life as a parent I’m considering revamping the look of this blog. I would love to continue with product reviews, DIYs, and family stories. I considered changing the name, if you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments, I’m all ears!
