Most of you already know this but I just want to say it again…I’m ENGAGED! Kyle proposed to me last Sunday and I couldn’t be happier. He took me to Sycamore State Beach off the Pacific Coast Highway right at sunset. This place means a lot to us since it’s where we had our first date. I thought he was just being randomly romantic and cute by taking me there–the proposal completely shocked me! When he procured a little black box from his pocket and revealed a glimmering diamond ring I started crying and became speechless! He watched my reaction for a minute and finally said, “Will you marry me?” I wiped away the tears and managed to say yes as I threw my arms around him.
I spent the next day still in a state of shock. I’m an engaged woman now! I still can’t stop looking down at my hand and thinking “WOW”. I love that he actually took my sisters with him to find the perfect ring. That shows that he knows how important they are to me. My sisters and mom are all very excited to start planning the wedding but we won’t get married for another two years. Kyle should be done with his bachelor’s degree by then and since we need to save up money to pay for the wedding ourselves we feel it is a good savings deadline.
School started two weeks ago so that along with my responsibilities as President of CSUN Public Relations Student Society of America has kept me pretty busy! I really took my New Year’s Resolutions seriously so I do plan to continue blogging as frequently as possible. Another resolution I made was to exercise at least 30 minutes a day and I definitely kept up with that. Now that the Student Recreation Center is open at school I go every morning before work or school with two of my friends from CSUN. Life is good and I am enjoying every last minute. I will blog again soon about some recent reorganizing I did. I bought some great containers from the Dollar Spot at Target last month. I just need to snap some photos and load them to my computer.
