It’s been quite a while since I mentioned anything about my wedding here. The wedding is coming soon, a little less than four months to go! I’ve read on many different wedding forums and websites that it is not polite to discuss wedding details with people who are not invited, especially on the internet. I’ve read that it might lead to people to thinking they are invited, it spoils surprises for the guests and solicits unwanted opinions–plus many other reasons. I just can’t hold back anymore though!
We’ve picked out so many of the big details like venue, dress, tux, groomsmen and bridesmaid attire, flowers, cake, music, food, officiant, ceremony plan and invitations. Now we’re just working our way through the little details. So, please, indulge in a little wedding excitement with me! Here are SOME details we’ve confirmed:
Cocktail napkins! SOOooo exciting….right? Not really. But it’s something small that I feel is okay to share here. We ordered them through our venue. The venue we are going through is amazing! They really do take care of everything. I don’t have to worry about renting tables, chairs, linens, lights, DJ, catering…all those important things that make an event complete.
The groomsmen and ring bearer will all wear this tux. We ordered it from Men’s Wearhouse and it matches the bridesmaids dresses exactly. Groom will be wearing this same suit but with a different accent color, that part I’ll leave as a secret!
So that brings us to the bridesmaids dresses! Gorgeous, right? It’s from the Vera Wang Spring 2013 line at David’s Bridal. It’s designer style at a pretty reasonable price!
Now…some bridal details!
These are my shoes! I bought these at Aldo, spent more than I normally would on shoes but I know I can wear these again. I like that the heel isn’t super high and I LOVE all the sparkles! Makes you wonder what my dress might look like…..
Well maybe these pearls might throw you off with your dress guessing! A little bit of sparkle mixed in with classic pearls. One of my bridesmaids made this for me, which I truly appreciate and creates more meaning behind the jewelry. I think it looks expensive and elegant when really I bought the beads at Michael’s while she envisioned the design and created it! Who else thinks my friend should open her own Etsy shop?
That’s all folks! I hope you enjoyed this little peek into what the wedding might be like! So, what are your feelings on people discussing their weddings publicly? Do you agree with the wedding forums and websites?
